The new Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (CCPSA) comes into force June 20th, 2011.
The purpose of the Act is “to protect the public by addressing or preventing dangers to human health or safety that are posed by consumer products.”
After what seems like endless recalls of everything from cribs through pacifiers, as an end consumer you can only think, “It’s about time!”
On the other hand, there’s no doubt that the new Act will create more paperwork for your Canadian small business if you’re involved with manufacturing, importing or selling products.
